i feel that the months when i write a lot are usually the ones when i crumble academically.

the nose knows

tonight i was with a very tall and beautiful girl, "helga". she has a spate of tiny barely perceptible freckles across her exquisitely delicate nose and onto her amazing cheekbones. during the course of things i kept pressing my nose into her gorgeous cheekbones, sort of giving me the sensation you get when you get hit in the nose - first a stinging, and a particular sort of nosepunch taste. it felt great and was perfectly appropriate for me with her.

that makes me think of a cartoon movie i watched as a child - it was a bunch of characters (including pinocchio) traveling in search of something, and they kept receiving clues. the final clue was a poem in which the word nose/knows figured prominently. in the end the secret document or whatever was hidden in pinocchio's nose, which a member of the crew screwed off pinocchio's face to find the map or deed or affidavit or whatever.

she is wonderfully mature and one of the best people to talk to one-on-one.

misc

health! is the most important thing. more important than wealth, success, bitches... health. and family. i care deeply about my health and the peer most directly responsible for that is yemi. honestly, he steered me back from the brink several times. i guess he is one of my companions and guides along the path of self-improvement. trick and stevo are also tremendously helpful.

american idol! sucks badly this season. where are all the hot girls? although i guess last season katherine's looks and elliott's voice saved it. whatever.

accents! i just remembered that i LOVE australian accents for women. it immediately conjures up the image of a dark girl with blue eyes sitting in a bar or outdoors at a cafe on a sunny afternoon. my favorite australian woman phrase is probably "i love it when..."/"i hate it when..." - they say that a lot.

deep philosophical thoughts

i don't think that there is such a thing as a "good person" or a "bad person." the world is just too complex for that. a personality is not defined by one characteristic, but by a collection of tens of thousands of smaller actions and intentions. each action is reached by a system of decision-making. each decision is the result of a calculation of what someone values. the things a person values are pitted against each other much like in an economics model. thus values determine decisions, decisions determine actions, actions determine people.

think happy thoughts

i haven't been writing much lately because i feel trapped. on another note, i hope to pursue healthy activities that make me happy, truly happy. some of these activities include:

cleaning my room
lifting ponderous weights
going to the beach

i hope to extend this pattern of health and fulfillment to all aspects of my life.
